Bachelor of Science – Health and Exercise I  Nutritionist  I  Accounts Administrative Officer  I

For as long as I can remember I have always loved sport, be it Netball, Hockey, Athletics, Horse Riding or Long distance Running. This passion is something that has been installed by my lovely dad who was a great sportsman. After finishing secondary school, much to the shock of my family, I decided to take the route of A-levels in relatively academic subjects. After 2 years of study and some great results I finally decided to follow my passion for sport and exercise and go into Personal training. After completing my personal training and sports massage studies I decided it was time to take my passion and high technical ability for exercise and the science behind it to university to obtain an exercise science degree. I am now the proud recipient of a first class honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Health and Exercise; meaning I have an expert level of knowledge in the physiology of exercise, Sports and health nutrition, exercise psychology at the highest level of recognition for my undergraduate degree. With a heavy focus of nutrition running through my degree I saw myself excelling in this area, having the opportunity to really develop my academic knowledge of nutritional practice, of which I have been putting into practise for the last 3 years having undeniably remarkable results with clients.

I have been in the industry for almost 6 years now as a Personal Trainer and management profession gaining a wealth of experience in this time. I have an excellent background in anatomy, nutrition and working with specialist populations including older adults, ante and post natal clients and referred conditions. I am also qualified in Sports Massage and Exercise Rehabilitation (Injury and Illness). Further to this I have clocked up thousands of miles teaching spin classes, and many hours instructing Power plates, Circuits, Legs Bums and Tums, Aerobics and many other Group Exercise classes. Furthermore my knowledge extends to exercising during and after medical conditions such as cancer, stroke, pulmonary disorders, neurological conditions, osteoporosis, a selection of arthritic conditions and many more!

Before joining Body Revival (almost a year ago) I have had the pleasure of working for the last 5 years, in the United Kingdom, as a Personal Trainer, Exercise Instructor and sports masseuse. Having had the privilege of working with a range of clients; from professional cage fighters, ex professional para-sport athletes, professional athletes, architects, Doctors and even having the experience of working with celebrities I bring a wealth of experience in a multitude of areas within the fitness environment. Joining the Body Revival family as the in house nutritionist allows me to bring my experience, knowledge and successful track record of working within nutrition to all of body revivals valued members; I can’t wait to find out everyone’s goals and achievements, and put in to place the strategies for everyone to exceed their own expectations!

On a personal note I love running, it’s something that comes very naturally to me and an area I have a lot of experience in. I have also played netball for various clubs for 14 years as well as taking part in gymnastics for many years. I have been around horses my entire life, I was sat up on a horse before I could walk, being fortunate enough to have my own horse. My keen interest in sport has developed my knowledge in sports specific training techniques. Likewise my own personal experiences of debilitating illnesses have fired my passion for training for all; whilst encompassing a holistic approach to exercise, covering not only the physiological applications but also ones nutritional status and psychological readiness!
